Vernon Jack Evans, Sr., age 52, of Edgemont, SD, passed away on November 12, 2016, at his home in Edgemont.

Vernon was born on April 30, 1964, in Laramie, WY, to Jack and Teresa (Muhm) Evans.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Evans; son, Vernon Jack Evans, Jr.; grandson, Landon Paul Evans; father, Jack P. Evans; brothers, Brian and Bob Evans.

He is survived by sons, Zack Evans of Edgemont; James Madden of Salt Lake City, UT; John Witt of Pine Ridge, SD; daughters, Dawn Tinney of Sheridan, WY; Bethany Evans of Norton, KS; brothers, Wayne Evans of Edgemont; Steven Evans of Rapid City, SD; sister, Eva Nyquist of Edgemont; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; significant other, Tonya Moen of Edgemont; and her children, Tiffany Moen and Richard Moen of Hot Springs.

Services will be held 3:00 p.m., Thursday, November 17, 2016, at the Baptist Church, 1107 E Street, in Edgemont. Interment will follow at the Edgemont Cemetery.
