Vickie Lee Heidebrink, age 51, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010, at the Fall River Hospital in Hot Springs.
Vickie was born October 13, 1958 in Clarendon, Arkansas to Lloyd and Lee (McCue) Tweedy. She attended school in Arizona and took one year of nursing school. Being such a devoted mother she decided not to pursue nursing further. On November 23, 1990 she married Laird Dean Heidebrink in Edgemont, SD. Vickie took great pride in every one of her numerous jobs, but she especially loved her work chinking log cabins. She loved pool and was often on leagues. She also enjoyed the outdoors and always felt the Black Hills was her home.
Vickie was very passionate about riding her Harley Davidson Duce, collecting antiques, cooking with children and she always enjoyed a good joke.
Survivors include her loving husband, Laird Heidebrink; her five sons, James Shaw; Kevin and Kenneth Dirk; Garrett and Curtiss Heidebrink; sister, Lela Jean Tweedy; brothers, William Lloyd Tweedy and James Keith Tweedy; step-mother-in-law, Gert Heidebrink; her three grandchildren, Trinity Emerald Shaw; Chance Edward Anderson; Braxton Rodney Heidebrink and many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 6, 2010, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs with Neal Hughes officiating.
The family would appreciate any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Treatment Center of America.
