Obituary
Viola Louise Albright, age 85, of Edgemont, SD, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010, at the Castle Manor Nursing Home in Hot Springs, SD.
Viola was born October 28, 1925, in Palmer, NE, to Henry and Lorna (Lewis) Hagen. She married Frank Albright June 29, 1947. Viola and Frank lived in Grand Island, NE, until 1952 when they moved to Red Canyon near Edgemont.
Viola had a contagious laugh that filled the room. She loved children, and was a great cook, gardener,
and singer. She was also an excellent seamstress, sewing all of her own and her daughters clothing.
Viola is survived by her husband, Frank Albright of Edgemont; three daughters, Joanne (Gary) Pflaeging of Aurora, CO; Jerrie K. (Tim) Alberts of Hot Springs; Jeannie (Don) Coldross of Guernsey, WY; three sisters,
Vera (Ron) Craig of Central City, NE; Doris Wells of Grand Island, NE; Nelda Briggs of Lincoln, NE; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 6, 2010, at the United Church in Edgemont with Pastor Floyd Mills and Pastor Norma Mills officiating. Interment will follow at the Edgemont Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in Viola's name to benefit the Edgemont YMCA.
