The expected passing of our mother, Virginia Lee Renstrom Suter, was 8:00 a.m., the morning of October 15, 2017. Our brother was keeping vigil and talking to her when she failed to take one more breath and slipped peacefully away in her sleep, forever 87, at her home at the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veteran's Home in Hot Springs, SD.

Virginia retired from her position of Operations officer from Wells Fargo Bank in 1993. She had been in the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veteran's Home, Alzheimer's ward, since 2011. Virginia was Treasurer of the local and State DAV, Treasurer of the Friends of the Library, Treasurer for the BPW and volunteered at the VA Medical Center as well as a volunteer at the voting polls for many years. Virginia loved to read, work in her flower beds, camping, traveling and touring old homes. She has left a good place for a better one.
Virginia is survived by her four children, Beverly (Bud) Odell; Ed (Kandi) Renstrom; Sandi (Ernie) Nauman; Eric (Becky) Renstrom; sister, Jeannie (Harold) Burback; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren on her branch of the Hartwick Tree and two nieces.
She is preceded in death by both her husbands.

In lieu of flowers a memorial in Virginia's name may be given to Alzheimer's research.
