Obituary
Vivian Florence Johnson, age 85, of Hill City, passed away at her home September 1, 2006, after a long illness.
Vivian was born November 2, 1920 to John and Mabel (Eggelston) Young in Winterset, Iowa. The Young's moved to Omaha, NE where Vivian grew up and received her education. At school she met Dick Johnson whom she married on December 28, 1937 and were short three months of being married 69 years.
Vivian spent many years working at the Hill City Post Office. She loved the Black Hills.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Johnson of Hill City, SD; son, John Johnson of Hill City, SD; two granddaughters, Stacy Ann (Tim) Garner; Kris (Donnie) Larson of Missoula, MT; grandson, Clayton Scott Johnson of Rapid City, SD; four great great granddaughters, Isabelle Garner; Ava Grace Garner; Mollie Larson and Meagan Larson
A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Custer, SD.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the Hill City Cemetery in Hill City with Tana Nichols officiating.
