Wanda married Charles Fred Humiston on October 16, 1946, and they had three children, Patti Kay; Charles Henry; and Gene Earl.

Wanda enjoyed life to the fullest and had many opportunities to travel throughout the United States and Europe. She loved her grandchildren above all and always had tome to bake cookies or to play with them. She entertained many people in the home at the 7th and Walnut in Oelrichs. Wanda served on many boards and organizations including the Fall River County Democratic Party. She always had time for many activities including cooking, sewing ceramics, and plastic canvas work.
