Wesley William Hunt, age 87, passed away November 19, 2018, in his home town of Custer, SD, with family by his side.

Wesley was born on August 9, 1931, to Harold and Mable (Havens) Hunt in Rushville, NE. Wesley proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War Infantry Regiment, in 1950 to 1952, when he was honorably discharged in 1952. Wesley married the love of his life, Shirley Ann (Williamson) Hunt on June 5, 1954.They had many wonderful years until her passing on December 16, 2007. Wesley did many things throughout his life. He worked as an electrician, worked in the forestry business as a log cutter and road builder, served in the Custer County Sheriff's Office Reserve Deputies and search and rescue in 1973, and was in the trucking industry for over 50 years from which he retired.

Wesley loved the outdoors. He enjoyed snowmobiling, riding horses, camping and his favorite creek fishing.

Wesley is survived by his daughter and son-n-law, Kim and Ron Moos. brothers; Lauren and Duane Hunt; many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife; bothers; Verlin, Chet, Ken, Jesse, Jerald Hunt; and sister, Bonnie (Bauer) Hunt.

Private family memorial will be held at a later date.
