Obituary
Willard F. Beard, age 95, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away on July 16, 2015, at the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home in Hot Springs.
He was born to Vera (Shisler) and Forest Beard on October 30, 1919, in Decatur, Ill. The family moved to South Dakota shortly after, he went to school in Edgemont, before serving in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific. He retired from the railroad career in 1978.
Willie was preceded in death by the older son, Gary and his wife Geraldine.
He is survived by his son, Michael Beard of Edgemont; daughter, Rebecca (Arn) Kriegh of Edgemont; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
At his request no services will be held.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain-McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
