William "Bill" L.Wiener, age 66, of Hill City, SD died July 2, 2007 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Bill was born March 8, 1941 to Leroy and Juanita (Foote) Wiener at Emily MN. He attended school in Crosby, MN and then proudly joined the United States Army in 1958. Bill spent three years in Germany during his service and was discharged in 1964 after serving six years.
On April 24, 1965 Bill married Karen Habighorst in a country church in Aitkin County, MN. Shortly after their marriage, the couple suffered a house file and then moved to the Black Hills. Bill spent most of his working years in the Wyoming coal mines, road construction and logging. He enjoyed the outdoors spending time hunting and fishing. Bill's most recent hobbies include coin collection and antiquing.
Survivors include daughters, Cynthia (Robert) Michelson of Piedmont, SD; Michelle (Glenn D.) Bintliff of Hill City; Kimberly (Monty) Hunsaker of Hermosa, SD; Pamela (Jeff) Peters of Sioux Falls, SD; Kristina (Matt) Ulmer of Aladdin, WY; sisters, Shirley Anderson; Peggy Lorenson; Karen Strum; Evyone Ruschmeier; Donna Martz all of MN; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 6, 2007 at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Custer, SD with Pastor Robert Anderson officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to service. Committal services will follow at Hill City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Glenn D. Bintliff, Jeff Peters, Robert Michelson, Monty Hunsaker, Matt Ulmer and Milo Van Horn.
A memorial has been established in Bill's name.
