Obituary
Winston D. Smith, age 89, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away March 21, 2015, at the Ft. Meade VA Medical Center, Ft. Meade, SD.
Winston was born January 5, 1926, in Calwood Township, Callaway County, Missouri, to Burton Crane and Ruth (Miller) Smith. He proudly served in the United States Navy.
Winston is survived by two sons, Merlan (Toni) Smith of Huron, SD; Roger Smith of Green River, WY; and three sisters, Virginia (Tom) Aughenbaugh of Tehachapi, CA; Dorothy Dorey of Springfield, MO; and Phyllis Wenz of Vilas, SD.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2015, at the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home Auditorium in Hot Springs with Chaplain Deb Grismer officiating. Committal services will be held at a later date.
